Lac Des Illes workers ratify new three-year deal
Lac Des Illes mine workers represented by the Steelworkers Union have ratified a new contract.
The new deal gives the 200 workers a four per cent pay increase in each year of the three-year deal.
There are also benefit improvements in the contract, however union officials say those still remain substandard compared with the mining industry.
The deal will expire in 2015.
