It appears more people are listening to the Thunder Bay Police Traffic Unit when it comes to free tipping week.
Sgt. Glenn Porter says 27 tickets were issued at the John Street Landfill, compared to 39 in 2011.
However, he added that speeding is still a concern as 13 speeding tickets were handed out, which is double the number of speeding fines issued last year.
Just less than 6,000 people took advantage of the free service this time around.
