THUNDER BAY -- A local lawyer faces a number of charges, including one sexual offence involving a minor.
Well-known lawyer Alexander (Sandy) Zaitzeff, who recently made headlines for his work locally in a class-action lawsuit against the RCMP, faces nine charges.
The charges include one count sexual assault, one count sexual interference, one invitation to sexual touching under 16, five counts of assault and mischief under $5,000.
The charges were brought to court Monday following a weekend arrest by the Thunder Bay Police Service.
He has since been released from custody and is expected to appear in court on Dec. 9.
None of the charges he faces have been proven in court.
