Spring leaf and yard waste collection will take place between Tuesday, May 31, and Friday, June 10, on your regular recycling day. Curbside collection of leaf and yard waste was delayed due to the late arrival of spring.

Leaf and yard waste must be placed in Kraft paper bags for collection. Branches and sticks bundled with rope or twine are also accepted. Bundles must be less that 1 metre (39 inches) long and 61 cm (24 inches) in diameter.

There is no item limit on leaf and yard waste, but items must weigh less than 18 kg or 40 lbs.

Leaf and yard waste materials are taken to the City of Thunder Bay Solid Waste & Recycling Facility and made into soil-enriching compost.
