KENORA -- Bob Nault is back.

The former Liberal Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development beat out former Ontario NDP Leader Howard Hampton by only 519 votes to execute a political comeback that will send him back to Ottawa representing the Kenora Riding.

Nault upset Conservative Minister of Natural Resources Greg Rickford, who has held the seat since 2008.

The Liberal MP won four elections in what was then known as the Kenora-Rainy River Riding between 1988 and 2004, after which he stepped down.
