THUNDER BAY -- The province-wide move to lock-down status will see the Thunder Bay Public Library close all of its branches for the duration of the shutdown.
In a release issued on Tuesday morning, library officials say they will close on Wednesday at 4;30 p.m. and won't reopen until Jan. 12, barring no extension of the provincial mandate.
At that time, all library locations will reopen for no-contact holds pick-up at each facility's main entrance. curbside service will be in effect until Jan. 22, unless further restrictions are announced by either the province or the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
Starting on Jan. 12 library hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday to Friday. Pick-ups, no-contact holds and facing, scanning and photocopying services at all four entrances, as well as battery recycling drop-offs will be offered at that time.
Return boxes will remain open during the library closures. For more information, visit www.tpbl.ca.
