Library hours changing in new year

The changes are occurring at three of the four branches.

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Public Library is making changes to the operating hours at three of their branches starting on Thursday, Jan. 2.

The Mary J.L. Black Library will now be open three hours longer on Mondays and Tuesdays until 8 p.m.

They are also going to be open on Sundays from 12:30 to 5 p.m. The branch was previously closed on that day.

Meanwhile, the Waverley Library will now be open until 8 p.m. instead of 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It will also be open from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays instead of being closed.

The Brodie Library will now close on Tuedsays and Wednesday at 5 p.m. The branch had been open until 8 p.m. on both days.

There are no changes in the hours of operation at the County Park Library..

Holiday hours in effect

Instead of closing between Christmas Day and Jan. 2, the Mary J.L Black and Waverley Libraries will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27 and Saturday, Dec. 28, then again on Monday, Dec. 30 and Tuesday, Dec. 31.

The County Park and Brodie Library locations will be closed from Dec. 25 to Jan. 2.

All four locations will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve. All locations will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Dec. 29 and New Year’s Day.
