Don’t you(,) mean people? Will begin an Indiegogo fundraiser campaign from June 1 to July 30 in hopes of raising the needed funds to release a full-length album by September.
In a statement to tbnewswatch.com, band frontman Taylor Price explains that the album is recorded and is now in the production stage. The band hopes to raise $4,500.
“We have developed our sound and our performance in Thunder Bay, at venues like the Foundry and Black Pirates Pub, and in public areas such as Bay Street and the Marina,” explains Price in his written statement. “We will be doing a Canada-wide tour in the fall of 2015 after the release of the record.”
About the band:
DYMP is a three-piece acoustic rock group which has spent the last three years honing their sound and crafting couplet poems to accompany their instrumental songs.
They bring a fresh sound to post-rock and math-rock traditions by making use of totally organic sounds and eschewing any effects like distortion, delay or chorus. Their style has been described as technical and suave acoustic rock which is two parts math-rock and one part post-rock.
They have completed their first full-length studio record titled “Who cares?” to be released September 2015.
“Who cares? is a forty minute theatrical and immersive post-rock experience.
