A documentary created by a group of Thunder Bay film makers was recognized this past weekend at a film festival that attracts entries from around the globe.
Director Kelly Saxberg's Life is But a Dream premiered in Toronto at the Hot Doc's festival. The film was one of the twelve finalists, which was chosen from about 130 entries.
The film, which tells the story of local author Charlie Wilkins' next adventure of rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, won the Best of Genre award for Sports.
Saxberg also received an honourable mention in the category of Best Director.
The eight-minute film was put together in just five days and will be premiered in Thunder Bay this fall at the Bay Street Film Festival
