OPP News Release
(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On August 8, 2015 at 12:59 am, officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle in the rear alley of the 200 Block of Scott Street in the Town of Fort Frances.
After speaking with the driver, determined the driver had been drinking. The driver, Greg SITTER, age 39 years of Thunder Bay, failed the roadside test and was subsequently arrested. He was transported to OPP Detachment for breath tests. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for the mandatory 7 days. The driver was subsequently charged with,
-Having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of Blood
-Driving under suspension
He will appear in Fort Frances Provincial Court on September 21, 2015.
Also on August 8, 2015 at 11:10 pm. Officers conducted a traffic stop in Lavallee Township, and after speaking with the driver, determined the driver had been drinking.
The driver, Tina Chiefson, age 43 years of Fort Frances failed the roadside tests and arrested at the scene.
She was transported to OPP Detachment for breath tests. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for the mandatory 7 days. Subsequently the driver was charged with,
-Having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of Blood
She will appear in Fort Frances Provincial Court on September 8, 2015.
