THUNDER BAY – A local Facebook community page aims to buck the trend of online negativity.
About a month after reports surfaced that the Thunder Bay Police Service was investigating multiple locally-created Facebook pages for hate, a new page was created in an effort to shine a positive light on the city.
“People like to talk, not enough action,” reads the pager description of Thunder Bay Pride. “This page will be dedicated to bringing us together as a community and keep our city beautiful.”
In another post an administrator responds to a Facebook user’s question about the page’s directive by saying “there is no need for negativity and a HUGE need for positivity.”
