Thunder Bay Police Service officials say a 14-year-old Thunder Bay boy was playing a video game online on his Xbox360 console. The local gamer became concerned after hearing another player talking about harming himself.

The Thunder Bay teen decided to call police.

An officer arrived at the local teen’s home and began to speak with the other player, a 14-year-old boy from Texas, via a headset. After a two hour conversation, the officer convinced the teen to speak with his father.

Police say the American teen’s parents were grateful for the intervention of the Thunder Bay teen and police officer.
