THUNDER BAY -- A city man charged with possession and making child pornography available will return to court next month.

Justin John Mach, 30, was scheduled to appear at the Thunder Bay Courthouse Friday and was remanded to May 8.

Mach was arrested after in December 2014 after the Thunder Bay Police Service’s cyber-crime unit began monitoring file-sharing networks and noticed an offer to download suspected child pornography from a local IP address.

That investigation led to the Dec. 17 search of a Lake Street home.

That search resulted in the discovery of child pornography being located on a computer in the home.

The computer, two external hard drives and two USB flash drives were seized for further examination.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
