Thunder Bay Police received a call at 6:22 a.m. on July 4, 2016 of a vehicle that had just hit a sign on Anten Street.
The male driver then proceeded to return to a residence on Anten Street where police located him.
The male was in need of medical attention due to the collision and was sent the hospital by ambulance.
The 48 year old Thunder Bay male was arrested and charged with impaired driving offences.
He has been released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date.
