Local CP Rail employees could be heading back to work soon as the federal government introduced back-to-work legislation Monday afternoon.
The back-to-work order would see about 150 local railway employees directly impacted by the order, with nearly 100 additional workers indirectly affected.
Picket captain Randy Mior said most of the workers are furious by the government's action.
He added that allowing a multi-million dollar company to force CP Rail staff back to work without listening to their concerns about pensions is the wrong move.
This is the third labour dispute the Harper-led conservative government has intervened in the last year.
