The city’s unemployment rate rose slightly in August, according to new numbers released by Statistics Canada.
The recent employment statistics shows that this area had an unemployment rate of 6.3 per cent in August, which is slightly above the 6.1 per cent recorded in July.
That puts the city below the Ontario average of eight per cent. It’s also below the national average, which sits at 7.3 per cent.
