“There was a power outage in town so I headed out to get some fresh air,” shared Robert while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where he picked up his winnings. “I bought a few INSTANT tickets and decided to stop for lunch, and scratch them while I waited.”
Robert noticed that the numbers on one of his tickets were matching up. “I assumed it was just going to be a $10 win. But it wasn’t. I couldn’t believe I won something. I was so excited that I couldn’t finish my lunch!”
On the drive home, Robert kept thinking about what to do next. “I said to myself, ‘this changes everything.’ Without that outage, I would not have left home and I likely wouldn’t have won this prize.”
Robert already has plans for his windfall. “I am planning to buy some property in Longlac and maybe buy a car,” he concluded.
