THUNDER BAY -- Lotto Max players will have twice the number of chances to win a jackpot that can now grow as high as $70 million.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation had doubled the number of draws per week, adding a Tuesday night draw to the game of chance. Previously only one draw, on Friday night, was held.

OLG also bumped the top prize by $10 million, from $60 million to $70 million, the first time in four years they've upped the maximum jackpot.

The odds of winning the top prize to one in 33,294,800 per $5 play, with players now choosing seven numbers between 1 and 50 instead of 1 and 49.

Lotto Max was first introduced in 2009.
