THUNDER BAY -- Lakehead University has announced the appointment of a new vice-president of research and innovation.
Professor Andrew Dean has been named the new vice-president of the university's research wing. It’s a role he has already been performing on an interim basis, since former research vice-president Rui Wang left for a similar job in Sudbury.
Dean says he'd like to increase Lakehead's profile as a research school, with a greater focus on community research, and undergraduate participation in research.
Dean originally joined Lakehead in 2008, as dean of the Faculty of Science and Environmental Studies.
