THUNDER BAY - City police are back to familiar territory, investigating another Mac’s Convenience Store robbery.

The latest incident happened Monday night around 10 p.m. at the company’s Balsam Street store, when a male suspect described as Caucasian wearing jeans, a long sleeved blue shirt with white trim and black and white UFC ball cap walked into the store, indicated he had a weapon and demanded cash from the lone female clerk on duty.

The employee was not injured during this incident.

The man, described as being around 45-years-old with a heavy build and goatee, fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials are asking anyone with information to phone the Thunder Bay Police criminal investigations section or Crime Stoppers.

Const. Julie Tilbury said she didn’t know how much the man took.

“At this point we have released some images to the media and we are requesting the public to take a look and if anyone identifies who this male is then they can call Thunder Bay police or Crime Stoppers,” Tilbury said.
