Man airlifted to hospital after afternoon single-vehicle collision

THUNDER BAY -- A 63-year old man was airlifted to hospital on Thursday afternoon after a single-vehicle collision on Kam Current Road. An OPP spokesperson said the driver veered off the roadway and struck a tree.

THUNDER BAY -- A 63-year old man was airlifted to hospital on Thursday afternoon after a single-vehicle collision on Kam Current Road. 

An OPP spokesperson said the driver veered off the roadway and struck a tree. He was then extricated from his minivan by East Gorham Fire and Rescue crews. 

Police said he suffered serious injuries in the crash, which occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m.
