Man arrested after threatening teens

Police arrest and charge a 30-year-old Thunder Bay man for uttering threats and possession of a weapon.

THUNDER BAY - Thunder Bay Police have arrested a man who threatened three teens in a south side parking lot late last night.

A Thunder Bay Police Service media released said officers received a 911 call just after 10:30 p.m. Monday night about a male threatening people. Officers arrived and learned the man had threatened three teenagers in a parking lot in the 400 block of Edward Street North. 

The teens walked to a nearby coffee shop and the man taken into custody inside. Police also seized a knife. 

A 30-year-old Thunder Bay man remains in custody and is facing several charges that include possession of weapon dangerous to the public, uttering threats, and breach of probation.

A court date has not yet been set.
