Man breaks into apartment, steals TV while resident sleeps

THUNDER BAY -- City police are trying to identify a man suspected of breaking into a north-side apartment Sunday. Thunder Bay Police Service officers say that just before 6:30 a.m.

THUNDER BAY -- City police are trying to identify a man suspected of breaking into a north-side apartment Sunday.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers say that just before 6:30 a.m., the 36-year-old male resident was awoken because he was cold and found a man standing in his apartment.

The suspect fled the scene and the victim observed that the sliding glass door to his living room was smashed.

The victim did not hear the breaking of the glass by the suspect as he is hearing impaired.

A 40-inch Dynex LED television and a laptop were stolen by the suspect.

The victim was not injured during this incident.

Police are releasing the image of the suspect in hopes that anyone who may know the identity this male will contact the police at 684-1200.
