THUNDER BAY - Police have made an arrest following an attempted theft at an Intercity pet store on the weekend.
According to a Thunder Bay Police Service media release issued on Monday, officers responded to a Memorial Avenue pet store just after 1 p.m. after receiving reports of an attempted theft.
Officers discovered that a man was confronted by a staff member when attempting to leave the store. He then pushed a female employee and fled the store without any items in his possession. He was located in the parking lot by police.
A 35-year-old Thunder Bay has been charged with robbery and is scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
