A Thunder Bay man is dead as the result of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle crash earlier this month.
Officers with the Pickle Lake detachment of the OPP say the crash took place on Wednesday, March 16 on a mining road near that community, when a transport truck slid through an intersection and jackknifed before hitting a snowbank.
The driver was initially taken to hospital in Sioux Lookout with what was described as serious injuries.
He was later transported to Thunder Bay for treatment.
The man was then released from hospital on Friday before succumbing to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as 58-year-old Thomas Dufault of Thunder Bay.
