Police charged a 26-year-old-man with assault with a weapon following an incident that sent one man to hospital.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers say a 50-year-old-man saw the 26-year-old acting irrationally in front of his home on Vickers Street just before 10 p.m. Friday. Police say the 26-year-old was threatening passersby.
When the victim told the 26-year-old to go back into his home, police say the man allegedly hit the victim on the head with a pot.
The victim went into his home and called police. Police say the 26-year-old then allegedly broke into the victim's home and stabbed and beat him. Paramedics rushed the man to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Police charged the 26-year-old with several offences that included aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000, breach of probation, breach of undertaking, breach of recognizance and break and enter.
