A 28-year-old man is in critical condition in hospital after a single vehicle collision Sunday in O’Connor Township.

Thunder Bay OPP said both the driver and his 27-year-old female passenger were ejected after he lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of Highway 588 and Blakie Road.

The 1996 Dodge pick-up subsequently entered the south-bound ditch, struck a road sign and travelled across the highway, entering a north-bound ditch and rolling.

The female passenger is in fair condition in hospital.

Police say the investigation continues.
