Man propositions teen in mall bathroom

Police are searching for a man they allege propositioned a 14-year-old boy in a Thunder Bay shopping centre bathroom. On Sunday evening, at approximately 5 p.m.

Police are searching for a man they allege propositioned a 14-year-old boy in a Thunder Bay shopping centre bathroom.

On Sunday evening, at approximately 5 p.m., the victim entered the bathroom located between Metro and Shoppers Drug Mart at Grandview Mall, where he was approached. The youngster managed to get out of the washroom, running into the mall corridor and out of harm’s way.

The suspect was not caught, and is described as being 5-foot-9 with an average build, salt and pepper hair, stubble on his face and wearing round glasses.

He was last seen leaving the mall in a westbound direction.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Thunder Bay Police Services at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 623-8477.
The investigation is ongoing.
