Cameron Street Incident 2

THUNDER BAY – A 35-year-old man is recovering from injuries suffered after a Monday assault on the city's south side.

Police were called to a residence on the 200 block of Cameron Street just before 4:30 p.m. to respond to reports of an injured male, according to a Thunder Bay Police Service media release issued Tuesday afternoon.

The man was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with what police described on Monday night as "life threatening injuries."

No arrests have been made and the incident is still being investigated by the police's criminal investigations branch.

Several neighbours in the area told tbnewswatch.com on Monday evening police have been to the house many times in the past. A fight was witnessed in the area the night before and witnesses said earlier in the day reported yelling was heard in the area of the house.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
