A 21-year-old male was stabbed early Tuesday morning behind Superior Bowling Alley on May Street.

Police are looking for four male suspects, who were all wearing bandanas with skulls and crossbones on them.

While the incident was first believed to be gang-related, police have since reported that they have no reason to believe there is gang involvement.

Two of the suspects were armed with knives.

The victim was found by police on McKenzie Street around 4:49 a.m. after a passerby reported seeing a male bleeding heavily.

He was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre by ambulance for treatment of two stab wounds to his leg.

His injuries were non-life threatening.
