Man stabbed

A 21-year-old man is in custody Thursday after a late-night stabbing after being chased into the public vestibule area at Shelter House. Police say the 27-year-old victim was chased to the George Street homeless shelter at about 11 p.m.

A 21-year-old man is in custody Thursday after a late-night stabbing after being chased into the public vestibule area at Shelter House.

Police say the 27-year-old victim was chased to the George Street homeless shelter at about 11 p.m. Wednesday night, where he was allegedly stabbed.

Paramedics attended the victim on scene and no hospitalization was required.

The suspect, who has not been named, was arrested without incident in the city hall area.

He’s facing charges of assault with a weapon and is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
