City police have confirmed the victim of a south side stabbing incident is in stable condition.
Thunder Bay Police Service officials say a 22-year-old man was stabbed in the lower back with a large hunting knife around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of South May Street.
The victim was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Police noted earlier that the victim's injuries were serious.
Police say they are still looking for the man suspected of stabbing the 22-year-old vicitm.
The accused is known to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
