Man taken to hospital with head injuries

Police charged two men in connection to an assault of a 40-year-old-man found in a May Street apartment.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a call about an injured man found in a hallway at the Royal Edward Arms on May Street at 8:41 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the man was bleeding with serious head injuries. Paramedics took the man to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he was placed in a stable condition, police added.

Police charged a 39-year-old-man with aggravated assault, breach of probation and breach of an undertaking.

Police also charged a 47-year-old-man with aggravated assault.

Both appeared in court on Sunday and where the matter was adjourned until Feb. 15.
