Man with knife chases down another man in Westfort

THUNDER BAY – Police are investigating an incident in which a man was being “chased down” a Westfort street by a man with a knife. Thunder Bay Police Service officials say the call came in just before 3:20 a.m.

THUNDER BAY – Police are investigating an incident in which a man was being “chased down” a Westfort street by a man with a knife.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials say the call came in just before 3:20 a.m. The caller said he was being chased down West Frederica Street by a man with a knife.

Patrolling officers arrived in the area within moments and were approached by the man, who ran up to the cruiser and demanded to be allowed in.

Officers then spotted a second man a short distance down the road on the 200 block of West Frederica Street.

Police say officers ordered this second man to the ground.

The man was arrested and a knife was found near the scene.

The 19-year-old victim was not injured as a result of this altercation.

Brennan Littleford, 26, has been charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats to kill.

He appeared in court this morning and has been remanded for an Aug. 27 court appearance.
