A resident of Manitouwadge will have no fewer than 11 charges to answer to when he appears in court later this fall.

OPP arrested the 28-year-old in the early hours of Tuesday morning after blocking a vehicle on a dead-end street in the community 265 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay.

Officers were initially dispatched to investigate a report of a vehicle being driven recklessly at high speed.

They located a pickup truck in the golf course parking lot, fish-tailing and spinning its wheels on the gravel.

After the operator left the parking lot, he evaded a police attempt to stop him by accelerating but eventually came to a stop at a dead end, where he was ordered to exit the vehicle.

Among other offences, the man is charged with impaired driving, flight from police, failure to comply with a probation order, drug possession, driving a vehicle without plates and driving without insurance.
