MARATHON, Ont – Tips from concerned motorists have led police to charge a Manitouwadge woman with impaired driving.
Ontario Provincial Police, in a release issued Thursday, said OPP Marathon detachment received a report late Wednesday afternoon regarding a possible impaired driver on Highway 17 west of Marathon in the Jackfish Lake area.
Police patrolled the area and found the vehicle on Highway 17 near Neys Provincial Park.
A traffic stop was conducted and police determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol.
The 36-year-old woman from Manitouwadge was arrested and charged with impaired driving.
She will appear in court on September 27 to answer to her charge.
