A recent Manpower Employment Outlook survey has labeled the job outlook in Thunder Bay for the third quarter of 2011 as "healthy."

Manpower Thunder Bay's Florentine Bahlieda said the survey shows 29 per cent of employers plan to hire for the upcoming quarter, which runs from July to September.

Meanwhile, only six per cent are planning for cutbacks.

According to the survey, mining sector employees are looking at a net employment outlook increase of 24 per cent. That's a five per cent improvement over last year.
