THUNDER BAY – A trio of popular clothing stores are planning to reopen.

Marshall’s, which opened last October at Intercity Shopping Centre, Winners and HomeSense have announced a plan to reopen Thunder Bay stores closed since March by COVID-19 restrictions. All three stores opened on Tuesday for customers with a store loyalty card, greeted by long lines of shoppers anxious to browse.

They'll open to the general public on Wednesday.

The province last week gave the go-ahead for retailers with storefront entrances to open, as long as physical distancing measures and other safeguards were put in place.

According to each stores’ website, all three locations will be open Wednesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Hours beyond Saturday will follow, according to a note on all three stores' websites.

Marshalls, Winners and HomeSense are all operated by TJX Canada.
