A veteran board member will stay in her seat as chair of Lakehead Public Schools.
Trustee Deborah Massaro was acclaimed as the chair for her fourth consecutive term. Massaro said she wants to continue the work the board is doing and move forward with its strategic plan.
"I look forward very much to working together with all the trustees and building a new team," Massaro said after the board’s first meeting Tuesday evening.
Developing services to help all students of Lakehead Public Schools is a must “in helping them to achieve success at their level," Massaro added.
The board also chose trustee Karen Wilson as vice chair for her second term.
Marg Arnonre, Pat Johansen and Jack Playford were all sworn in as new trustees during the Tuesday evening meeting.
