THUNDER BAY – Residents will have a chance to weigh in on local issues as Mayor Bill Mauro holds a town hall later this month.

The public meeting, set for May 19 at 7 p.m., will be held virtually due to COVID-19 and broadcast on television and the city’s website.

The event will offer an update from the mayor and a chance for residents to ask questions. An agenda is still being prepared and will be released via social media closer to the date, the city said.

Residents can view the meeting live at the city’s website and on Shaw Spotlight Channel 10, BlueCurve Ch105, or Tbaytel TV Channel 110.

Questions can be submitted to the city clerk’s office at OfficeoftheCityClerk@thunderbay.ca or (807) 625-2230.

Questions received by 4 p.m. on May 19 will be included, the city says, while residents can also submit questions during the meeting itself.

The five at-large city councillors also have an upcoming town hall meeting scheduled for June 10 at 7 p.m., which will also be streamed and televised.
