SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. -- It wasn't her best curled game of the week, but Thunder Bay's Krista McCarville still managed her way into the win column in a near-must win match Friday at the Road to the Roar Olympic Pre-Trials.

The six-time provincial champion went down 3-1 after two ends to Mississauga, Ont.'s Jacqueline Harrison, but stole a pair in the fourth to take the lead, added two more in the sixth and traded points the rest of the way to score an 8-6 win and improve to 3-2 to keep her playoff hopes alive.

The loss dropped Harrison to 2-3.

The McCarville rink, which also includes lead Sarah Potts, second Ashley Sippala and third Kendra Lilly, will take on Manitoba's Kerri Einarson on Friday afternoon in the round-robin finale.
