(MARATHON, ON) – On July 29, 2016, members of the Marathon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, executed a search warrant at a residence on Hemlo Drive.
As a result of this investigation, police seized methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDMA) and cannabis marihuana.
A 27-year-old man from Marathon was arrested and charged with the following offences:
1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDMA) contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and
2) Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana - under 30 grams contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused was released with a court date in Marathon on October 12, 2016.
