THUNDER BAY -- A local girl and her camera are hitting the town to find everywhere kid friendly in Thunder Bay.
Nine-year-old Taylor Gorrie used to want to be a scientist. But somewhere along the way she traded in her lab coat for a fedora and started Taylorpedia, which she's been using to report on everything from the soapbox derby to berry farms.

"Basically I want to show people different things about Thunder Bay that are really cool so for families it's good for them to see good places for kids," she said. "I thought it would be really fun."
Her mom Meg said she made her daughter the Taylorpedia T-shirt and things just took off from there. Her daughter wanted to start reporting on the city, Meg decided to support her as much as she could.
"Mostly just to build her confidence and show her that she does matter and she doesn't have to second guess herself," she said.
"Just because she is nine does not mean that she doesn't have a valid opinion."
