Thunder Bay, ON; April 5 2016 – Increased tourism in the City of Thunder Bay would be a welcomed boost to the local economy.
Monsterview Manor is the newest small business to move into the Waterfront District in recent months and is the only new tourist attraction to open in years.
Nestled in between Kitty Cucumber - Children’s Boutique and The Body Barre, Monsterview Manor provides a variety of products and services for the local “staycationer” or the visitor from out of town; a 15 minute manor tour, an event room to rent and a gift shop, including traditional souvenirs as well as local artisans creations.
It is an entertaining attraction that provides visitors with a form of fun that offers a site filled, audio fueled, textual experience in a comfortable indoor setting.
It is fully accessible to all types of visitors and what’s more there’s nothing else like it in Northwestern Ontario.
With the guidance and support of the PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise, the two business owner’s, Melanie and Mark have taken over 234 Red River Road to create an entrepreneurs dream come true.
Featuring fantastic, creative, realistic and innovative displays, based on creatures of legend and lore, Monsterview Manor takes each visitors out of their reality for a period of time and transports them into another time and space.
The amount of forethought, planning and innovation that went into construction of each part of the facility, over the past 7 months, has finally come to a finishing point. Monsterview Manor is now open for business, booking tours and event room rentals daily.
The monster exhibit tour includes 7 full size rooms, each with its own theme and creature. “We started with the traditional movie monsters of times past”, says Melanie.
“This way you get a sense of what it’s like to be a kid again and a sense of how much fun it was to be scared of the boogie-man.” Monsterview Manor is all about creating opportunities for visitors to fulfill desires of fun through a diverse and expanding line of products and services, as well as providing visitors a terrifyingly great bargain that they will want to experience again and again. Each visit produces something different to see.
Their blog boasts about the latest monster trends, coordinating events for friends and family, taking time to enjoy having fun again and using your imagination, www.monsterviewmanor.com .
The mission of MVM is to enrich the lives of community members, visitors, and employees, and bring diverse groups of people together, by providing the most excellent specialty attraction in Northern Ontario.
The manor is open year round, Tuesday to Saturday, with extended hours in the summer months to capture the city night life and restaurant enthusiasts.
Tickets are $10 per tour, which are booked in advance, although walk-ins are welcome if there is an open time slot.
Events are continuously being planned such as Tea Parties with the Mad Hatter in Wonderland, Monster Makeup workshops and for team building sessions and murder mystery games.
If it’s something different you are looking for, this new business might just be the place to visit.
Each person eating, shopping and site seeing in the Waterfront District should stop by for this unique experience before travelling onto another part of town for more site seeing and adventure.
