THUNDER BAY -- The winners of the Team Staal Video Contest have been made official.
The kids posted videos (see winning videos below) of their best road hockey moves online hoping for a chance to play with the Staal brothers and other current and former NHLers in a road hockey game, as part of the Staal Open.
The top-20 contestants, whose videos had the highest vote totals, moved on to the fundraising phase.
Brothers Thomas and Steven Stadey raised more than $6,500 each for the Northern Cancer Fund.
RJ MacMinn was less than a hundred dollars behind, in third place.
Those three all received automatic spots to the big game.
The two remaining players were drawn at random at a special event last week.
Jackson Elliot and William Seaberg also won their way in.
A total of 20 contestants raised $44,181 in just 10 days.
