KENORA, Ont. -- OPP officers were forced to use a Taser Thursday evening to subdue a man who was running amuck with a mini-excavator in this Northwestern Ontario community.
Police were called after complaints the operator of the equipment was disrupting traffic. Officers arrived to find the man smashing into vehicles on the roadway.
Several vehicles were damaged during the incident.
When the operator ignored police calls to stop, the Taser was used to ensure no one was hurt.
Police say their investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
