The province says rising revenues have resulted in a lower Ontario deficit.
The Wednesday announcement comes a day before Finance Minister Dwight Duncan is expected to reveal Ontario’s budget. Duncan said the province’s deficit will come in at $21.3 billion, down from the expected $24.7 billion he projected last fall.
Revenue numbers are up from a number of sources, including corporate and sales taxes.
The finance minister is expected to reveal the provincial budget Thursday at about 4 p.m. Shortly after that announcement tbnewswatch.com will provide local reaction.
