Missing boaters found, both unharmed: OPP

Two U.S. boaters who were missing in the Dryden area have been found safe and sound. Officials with the Dryden detachment of the OPP say they received a report of two boaters who did not return to their camps on William Bay, Lac Seul on Tuesday.

The OPP sent out an emergency response team, while the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources dispatched a helicopter to help with the search.

The two male boaters, a 48-year-old and a 49-year-old from Illinois, left their camp around 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22 to explore the lake. They were unable to find their campsite when they tried to make their return.

The owner of the camp located the two men just Northwest of Manitoba point.
