KENORA, Ont - Two fishermen missing on Lake of the Woods for two days have been located safely.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, a 43-year-old man and a 75-year-old man were found on Friday and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The pair was first reporting missing on Wednesday after their boat was last seen near Fadden’s Island on the south end of Lake of the Woods on Tuesday.
The OPP Marine and Trails Unit and the OPP Emergency Response Team conducted the search, with assistance from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, the Canadian Armed Forces, and other community partners.
