SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. -- Temporary traffic lights at a bridge under construction are leaving many motorists scratching their heads and waiting.

SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. -- Temporary traffic lights at a bridge under construction are leaving many motorists scratching their heads and waiting.

The OPP detachment have received numerous calls from area motorists complaining that the lights on the Pelican Creek bridge, located on Highway 72 south of Sioux Lookout, are not working.

Officials from the MTO looked into the situation and confirmed that lights are indeed working properly.

This has led the OPP to send out a reminder to motorists that they need to pull up to the designated stop line to activate the lights. Motorists waiting too far back will continue to stare into a red light.

Motorists encountering any further difficulties with the traffic lights are asked to report such incidents to the regional MTO office at (807)-473-2000.
